Entertainment pick of the week (September 12th)

Is it just me or is life all a bit too depressing at the moment?

We were promised an Indian summer and all we got is more rain.

We'll probably have to wait another 72 years until a Brit reaches the Grand Slam Final and on a personal note the toilet in my flat was ripped off its wall about an hour ago so I currently have no running water (thanks John).

In these situations I tend to follow one of two choices.

Either I go on a Joy Division marathon and listen myself into a coma of misery where I end up lying in my room in the foetal position eating Ben & Jerrys from the tub or I laugh it off.

Luckily for my housemates I plan to giggle myself a hernia tomorrow because I've got my preview ticket to Pineapple Express, the new film from the makers of Superbad.

Now pretty much every comedy worth its salt these days tries to tie itself to the Judd Apatow brand.

However, reviews have been positive and it has the major plus of having Seth Rogan in a leading role.

So if you too are in the mood for a pick me up this weekend check out 'Pineapple Express'.
