10 . Make some ground rules
Before you go your separate ways, talk to your boyfriend/girlfriend about how you’re going to manage things. We’re not saying you need an advanced diary to be able to keep up a long-distance relationship but a few ‘ground rules’ (sounds scary - we promise it isn’t) regarding how often you’ll visit each other and anything else you’re worried about, is likely to make both of you feel more secure about things.
