It's always a good idea to eat before going out so that you have something in your stomach to absorb all that alcohol.
If you haven't had time to chuck something down you before the drinking games ensue, then get some bar food or (even better) wait until the early hours when it's acceptable to order that dirty kebab. It'll be the best thing you've ever tasted.
Whether you've had drunk food or not, you'll probably want to eat more when you wake up.
Apparently bacon has a high level of protein, which breaks into amino acids - something our body needs - meaning it's good to eat on a hangover.
We're not pretending to know the science, we just know we've found an excuse to load up on bacon sarnies.
