In a bid to find the best student band in the country, Battle of the Bands is back - and it’s bigger and better than ever before.

As well as benefiting from significant exposure on studentbeans.com, the winners of the competition will be able to fulfill the dream of any young band - to play a set on a big stage at a major music festival.

Appearing alongside massive names such as Dizzee Rascal, Friendly Fires and Chase & Status, our Battle of the Bands champions will play a 30 minute set on the New Music Stage at Beach Break Live - the country’s biggest student festival.

Like the sound of that? Only YOU can make it happen.

This year we’re getting rid of judges and giving the power back to the people. Votes will be cast online by studentbeans.com readers - so it’s up to you, the bands, to get people voting!

It’s time to call in old favours and send appeals out to your Facebook friends, there’s the chance of a lifetime at stake!

The application process is easy - simply head to the registration page, fill in your details and upload a photo and your best track.

Each band will then get their own unique voting page which they can send out to everyone they know - and maybe even a few people they don’t.

Here’s the important bit... the deadline for entries is Friday 9th March, voting will then commence on Monday 12th March.
