University Drinking League - who drinks the most?

Does your uni like to party? Check out the studentbeans.com University Drinking League 2011 results and find out.

The results have been counted and verified - below you can see a full run down of how much the average student from each university drinks in units each week.

Having spent one or two nights out in Leeds over the years we’re not exactly surprised to find Leeds Met sitting proudly on top of the pile - and we’re pretty certain they’ll be happy to know they beat their Leeds Uni neighbours by 34 places.

Another thing that perhaps should have been expected is that three of the top five were also in the top five of our University Sex League earlier this year - it’s almost as if there’s some correlation between drinking more and having more sex...

At the other end of the scale it seems that students at the University of Salford haven’t yet been driven to drink by Lancashire’s endless grey skies and light drizzle, propping up the table with a positively tiny 5.9 units per student per week.
