Calling all romantic tight wads! Head to Asda for the ultimate budget Valentine's Day card - because nothing says 'I love you' like scrimping on a card
This could be the greatest supermarket PR stunt since Sainsbury's changed the name of their Tiger Bread to Giraffe Bread upon the much-circulated request of a 3-year-old child.
Asda have only gone and released their very own Valentine's Day card from their Smart Price range. And it only costs a 7p!
Feel the need to splash a bit more cash for your loved one? You might want to try this:
But back to that budget gift. The soppy economy brand card is designed in the sumptuous Asda colour-scheme of green and white, ensuring that there's no mistaking where this bad boy comes from. The supermarket-branded token of affection also comes stamped with the Asda 'Smart Price' logo lovingly placed within a heart, alongside the line: 'Be My Valentine.' words that are sure to get Asda fans all weak at the knees.
Lucky receivers of the Asda Smart Price Valentine's Day card will open it up on 14th February to reveal a cheeky little message, reading: 'My love for you is priceless.' Although, this is, of course, not strictly true - It's worth 7p.
Who said romance had to be expensive? Don't fret about having to shell out for your loved one this Valentine's Day. Just shower them with one of these lovingly-created cards from our favourite back-pocket slapping supermarket. And maybe a hug.
Right, that's the Valentine's card sorted then. But what's on the menu for the romantic meal?
