Love live music? We’re on the lookout for anyone who is passionate about their local music scene to organise a gig for Oxjam.
Oxjam is Oxfam’s amazing month-long music festival, running throughout October, with hundreds of events happening across the UK. It’s all run by volunteers who know and love their local music scene, all raising money to help fund Oxfam’s global work. Local music, global impact.
Can you help create the UK’s biggest festival line up?
Absolutely anyone can be part of Oxjam and your event can be whatever you want it to be – whatever your music tastes and whatever you’re into. Whether your event is a small gig in your local pub or a huge night in the busiest club in town, it all raises money to help Oxfam change lives around the world.
We’ll give you all the help and support that you need to put on a successful gig – for starters you’ll be sent the Oxjam toolkit, which is full to the brim with ideas and advice from music industry experts. Plus, if you pledge to raise £500 or more you’ll receive an invite to our exclusive training events run in partnership with the O2 Academies. Whether it’s planning, budgeting, finding a venue, or booking your acts that you need help with, we’ve got it covered.
Through training, online resources, and a support network of Oxjam volunteers and the central Oxjam team, we help people to use their skills, contacts, and passion for music to achieve more than they thought possible.
Oxjam is thousands of volunteers and hundreds of thousands of fans making music and fighting poverty in their hometowns, all as part of a national music festival.
Can you help make Oxjam 2012 even bigger and better than last year? Its music lovers like you that make Oxjam happen and now is your chance to get involved.
