Style Icon: Cheryl Cole
OK, so she may have some critics, but overall Cheryl is fashion's new crush and the petite star has even been selected for the front cover of UK Vogue in February.
Girls Aloud are getting more and more stylish as well every time they step foot on stage!
Cheryl has won the nation's hearts and has slowly established herself as a force to be reckoned with on the fashion front!
It isn’t particularly difficult to emulate Cheryl’s style. She isn't fashion forward and individual, as the likes of Kate Moss and Alexa Chung are, but she knows fashion, she loves fashion and it would seem, fashion loves her.
She wears it so well. From high-waisted jeans teamed with oversized bags and sunglasses to figure-hugging bodycon dresses worn with a killer pair of Christian Laboutins, Cheryl knows how to dress. Her recent cover on UK Vogue confirmed this.
Despite critics claiming that it was a publicity stunt to attract new readers in the recession, Vogue maintained that Cheryl was indeed a new British style icon.
If even the heavyweights of the fashion industry are taking note, then she must be doing something right.
Love her or hate her, Cheryl Cole has definitely turned her luck around.
To secure yourself a Vogue cover in the future (maybe!), then look to these style tips to ensure that you look as good as Mrs Cole at all times:
1. Big Hair. Get your bouffant Bardot-esque for that sex kitten ‘Love Machine’ look.
2. Manicure. Keep your nails simple, elegant and polished at all times.
3. Show off your curves in this bodycon dress, £34.50 from Asos.com.
4. Mascara. Lashings of it. And it doesn’t have to cost the earth either. Fashionistas are all over Maybelline's Colossal Volum’ Express mascara (about £6).
5. For the ultimate superstar look, don’t forget your sunnies! Cheryl wears Tom Ford, but if you’re on a student budget, then Topshop is the place to go.
Their range is unbelievably large with a style for everyone and almost all pairs cost £15!
6. Finally, the oversize tote. For designer quality in this economic climate, go to Zara.
They also stock long cardis, gorgeous heels and beautiful trenches. All great examples of Cheryl’s incredible style.
